效能實測：Windows 8 消費者預覽版啟動極快，但檔案傳輸與續航力不如 Windows 7

LaptopMag 對三款裝置——三星 Series 7 平板、戴爾 Inspiron 15 M5030、華碩 Zenbook UX31——進行 Windows 8 消費者預覽版與 Windows 7 的對比測試，涵蓋啟動時間、檔案傳輸、PCMark 7、OpenOffice 試算表、圖形效能與電池續航六大項目。

啟動時間：Windows 8 完勝

戴爾筆電上 Windows 7 需 92 秒，Windows 8 僅 38 秒；三星平板與華碩超級書分別從 29 秒縮減至 13 秒與 10 秒。混合啟動技術成效顯著。

檔案傳輸：Windows 7 領先

4.97GB 媒體檔案傳輸測試中，戴爾兩系統接近 (24 vs 23 MB/s)；但三星與華碩上 Windows 7 達 68/98 MB/s，Windows 8 僅 27/34 MB/s，差距明顯。

PCMark 7 綜合效能：平手

分差僅 100-200 分，屬誤差範圍，兩系統表現相當。

OpenOffice 試算表：Windows 7 勝出

三星平板 Windows 8 耗時 14 分 8 秒，Windows 7 僅 12 分 45 秒；華碩上差距更大 (8:55 vs 5:50)。

圖形效能：各有勝負

3DMark06 與《魔獸世界》幀率測試中，戴爾兩系統持平；三星平板 Windows 8 略優；華碩超級書 Windows 8 明顯領先 (4360 vs 3761 分，28 vs 26 fps)。

電池續航：Windows 7 更持久

三款裝置全數由 Windows 7 勝出：戴爾 3:07 vs 2:45、華碩 5:58 vs 4:55、三星 5:49 vs 3:36。Windows 8 省電機制尚待優化。

結論

Windows 8 消費者預覽版啟動速度驚人，但在檔案 I/O、辦公運算與續航上仍落後 Windows 7。微軟發言人表示：現階段跑分參考價值有限，正式版仍有大幅優化空間。
