Windows Server 2003 安裝 IE7 獨立版：解壓縮、刪除特定檔案、建立 .local 檔案三步驟

背景

Windows Server 2003 內建 IE6，官方不支援直接安裝 IE7。國外開發者 Rafael Rivera 發現：將 IE7 安裝程式解壓後刪除特定更新相關檔案，並建立 iexplore.exe.local 空檔案，即可讓 IE7 以「並存模式」運行於 WS2003，不影響系統內建 IE6。

操作步驟

1. 下載 IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe (或對應語言版本)。
2. 以 WinRAR/7-Zip 解壓至暫存資料夾 (如 C:\IE7Temp)。
3. 在解壓資料夾中 刪除 以下檔案/資料夾：
   update\ (整個資料夾)
   install.ins
spmsg.dll
spuninst.exe
spupdsvc.exe
4. 在同資料夾建立空白文字檔，命名為 iexplore.exe.local (副檔名 .local，非 .txt)。
5. 將整個資料夾移動至任意永久位置 (如 C:\Program Files\IE7)。
6. 執行 iexplore.exe 即可啟動 IE7。

原理解析

• 刪除更新相關檔案 → 阻止安裝程式嘗試修補系統檔案/寫入登錄解除安裝資訊。
• iexplore.exe.local → 應用程式本地重導向。Windows 會優先載入同目錄下的 DLL (如 ieframe.dll、mshtml.dll)，而非系統目錄 System32 版本，實現並存。

適用性與限制

• ✅ 適用：Windows Server 2003 (x86/x64)、Windows XP (同樣可產生獨立版)。
• ❌ 不適用：Windows Vista/7/8/10 (IE7 非支援、元件架構不同)。
• ⚠ 此為非官方 Hack，不獲得安全性更新，僅供相容性測試舊版網站/ActiveX 控制項。正式環境建議升級作業系統或使用虛擬機隔離 IE6/IE7。
