Windows 軟體安裝故障速解：Windows Installer 修復、重新註冊、手動替換核心檔案

案例一：ACDSee 5.0 / Daemon Tools 安裝報錯

原因：需 Windows Installer 2.0+。Win98/Win2000 早期版常缺此版本。解：下載安裝最新 Windows Installer 2.0 即可。

案例二：Office 安裝/修復提示「無法存取 Windows Installer 服務」或「檔案正在使用」

原因：Installer 核心檔損壞或遺失。

方法 1：重新註冊（適用 2000/XP）

1. regedit 檢查 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSIServer\ImagePath 應為 C:\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe /V。
2. 安全模式（F8）執行 msiexec /regserver，重開機。

方法 2：手動替換核心檔（徹底）

1. CMD 執行解除隱藏/系統/唯讀屬性：

attrib -r -s -h C:\Windows\System32\dllcache   (XP)
attrib -r -s -h C:\Windows\System              (98)

2. 依序重命名舊檔：

ren msi.dll msi.old
ren msiexec.exe msiexec.old
ren msihnd.dll msihnd.old

3. exit 重開機，Windows 會自動從備份/更新來源重建最新版核心檔。

方法 1 失效再用方法 2，通常可徹底解決 Installer 相關安裝故障。
