Windows XP 「說明及支援中心」故障排除與替代啟用技巧全集

「說明及支援中心」是查詢系統功能、診斷故障的首選管道，但它本身也會出狀況。本文整理四大常見故障解決方案，並提供三種替代啟用路徑與備份離線說明檔技巧。

故障 1：點選「開始→說明及支援」完全無反應

1. Win+R → helpctr -regserver 重新註冊元件。

故障 2：按 F1 或開啟說明提示「Help and Support Service 無法啟動，錯誤 126」

2. 確認其相依服務「Remote Procedure Call (RPC)」亦已啟動。
3. 若仍失敗，執行 sfc /scannow 修復系統檔案（需安裝光碟）。
4. 最終手段：下載微軟官方修補程式（XP SP1 以前用 winhlp32.exe，SP1 用 winhlp32sp1.exe）。

故障 3：安裝 SP1 後說明檔損失，C:\Windows\System32\win32hlp.exe 遺失

1. 從安裝光碟 I386 目錄複製 Winhlp32.cn_、Winhlp32.ex_、Winhlp32.hl_ 至暫存資料夾（如 C:\help）。
2. cmd 進入該目錄，依序執行：
   expand Winhlp32.cn_ Winhlp32.cnt
expand Winhlp32.ex_ Winhlp32.exe
expand Winhlp32.hl_ Winhlp32.hlp
3. 將 Winhlp32.exe 複製至 C:\Windows，Winhlp32.hlp 複製至 C:\Windows\Help，刪除暫存資料夾。

故障 4：說明中心開啟但無法展開主題/連結錯亂

1. regedit 定位 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment，將 windir 值類型改為 REG_EXPAND_SZ。
2. 若無效，刪除 C:\Windows\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\Config\News\newsver.xml。
3. 下載安裝 KB328940 安全性更新（微軟下載中心）。

替代啟用說明中心的三種方法

若 CHM 檔案關聯失效，修復登錄：
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\chm.file\shell\open\command 預設值 → "C:\Windows\hh.exe" %1
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.chm 預設值 → chm.file

備份離線說明檔（CHM）供隨時查閱

1. 開啟 C:\Windows\Help，按類型排序。
2. 全選所有 .chm 檔案複製備份。
