EPEL (Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux) 由 Fedora 團隊維護，提供 RHEL/CentOS 缺失的上萬個額外套件 (如 htop) 且不衝突基礎套件。本文教學：確認 CentOS 版本 (cat /etc/RedHat-release) → 下載對應 epel-release rpm (5.x/6.x 不同網址) → rpm -ivh 安裝 → yum repolist 驗證 epel 出現並顯示套件數 → yum install htop 測試安裝。注意：EPEL 與 RPMForge 可能衝突，建議單一第三方源。
